Everything you need to know before booking your stay at Détente et Clapotis campsite on the shores of Lac de Paladru, Isère.

Accommodation

What types of accommodation do you offer?

We offer Natura Lodges (premium 35 m² chalets with private hot tub), Libella Chalets (up to 7 people), Eco-chalets on stilts, the ‘Chevaliers de l’An Mil’ Chalets (unique accommodation), Chartreux Chalets, a PMR Chalet adapted for guests with reduced mobility, furnished Lodge Tents, and pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes.

Is accommodation available year-round?

Our chalets and lodges are available for rent all year. The campsite (pitches and services) is open from 15 April to 15 September. Chalets remain accessible outside this period, including in winter.

What is the minimum stay?

In low season, one-night stays are possible. In high season (July–August), the minimum stay is 7 nights for rental accommodation; however, 4 chalets are available per night — which ones varies each year. Check on our booking website, or simply ask us!
Pitches can be booked per night.

Do you have accommodation suitable for people with reduced mobility?

Yes. Our 3 ground-floor PMR Chalets feature fully adapted bathrooms, easy access and an accessible terrace. The Chartreux PMR Chalet sleeps 4 and the Libella PMR Chalet up to 5–6 people.

Bookings & rates

How do I book?

Bookings are made online via our secure reservation system, accessible from the « Book » button on our website. You can also contact us by phone at +33 4 76 55 33 04 or by email.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit card, bank transfer and ANCV holiday vouchers. A deposit is required at the time of booking; the balance is generally settled 30 days before the stay, in accordance with the applicable conditions.

We also offer a FLEX rate giving you complete flexibility up to 12 days before your stay.

What are the cancellation conditions?

Cancellation conditions are specified at the time of booking and in our General Terms and Conditions available on our website. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.

Services & facilities

Is there a swimming pool on site?

Yes. Our heated pool features an indoor basin and an outdoor basin, accessible to all guests during the season (1 May – 30 September).

Is the pool open?

The indoor pool is open in all cases from 1 May to 30 September.
To have it heated from 1 May, we start heating on 1 April — so depending on April’s weather, it is often warm as early as 15 April or even sooner!
Likewise, depending on bookings and the weather, we frequently leave it heated into October… ask us! 😉

Are pets welcome?

Absolutely!
We welcome pets, which must be kept on a lead anywhere within the campsite.
Category 1 dogs are prohibited; category 2 dogs must wear a muzzle within the campsite.
Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on the beach, even on a lead — there are 2 small streams in the natural area adjacent to the campsite where dogs can bathe.

Is the beach supervised?

Yes. Détente et Clapotis has a private beach on Lac de Paladru with lifeguard supervision during the summer season. Direct lake access enables swimming, kayaking and other water activities.

Is there an on-site restaurant?

Our restaurant is open during the camping season. Outside the season, food trucks come on site at weekends to provide catering options.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in accommodation and in the campsite’s common areas. The connection is suitable for standard use (browsing, streaming, video calls).
We have a 2 Gbps fibre connection with Starlink as backup.

Do you offer wellness activities?

Yes. The campsite offers a private hot tub (Natura Lodge), a privatisable sauna (book at reception), and massage and sophrology sessions with Valérie during the season (advance booking recommended). Outside the season, ask us — we work with many local partners.

Where is Détente et Clapotis campsite located?

The campsite is at La Véronnière, 1678 Route des Chevaliers de l’An Mil, 38620 Montferrat, Isère (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), directly on the shores of Lac de Paladru.

How do I get there from Grenoble or Lyon?

From Grenoble: approximately 40 minutes via the N85 and D17. From Lyon: approximately 40 minutes via the A48 towards Grenoble, exit at Rives. The campsite is easily reached by car. GPS coordinates: 45.4673° N, 5.5575° E

Is public transport available?

Coach services run from Grenoble and Voiron. Shuttle services may be available in summer. Contact the Voiron mobility office for transport options available on your travel date.

What certifications does the campsite hold?

Détente et Clapotis is a 4-star campsite certified with the EU Ecolabel (environmental commitment since 2016) and the Camping Qualité label.

Frequently asked questions — Senior holidays at Lac de Paladru

Is the campsite accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Our ground-floor PMR chalets feature adapted bathrooms. The private beach is accessible via a stabilised path. Please contact us before booking.

What is the quietest time of year?

April, May, June, September and October offer mild temperatures, a calm lake, low footfall and attractive low-season rates.
Bear in mind that some weekends may coincide with sporting events hosted at the campsite. Check our Facebook page for the latest updates.

What activities are suited to active seniors?

Fishing, pedal boating, cycling around the lake (13 km), hiking, gentle kayaking, sophrology and massage sessions, and an on-site restaurant in season.

Are rates reduced outside peak season?

Yes, our low-season rates (before 14 July and after 25 August) are significantly more attractive. Contact us for a quote.

Can we visit without a car from Grenoble or Lyon?

Grenoble and Lyon are 40 minutes away by car. Transport options exist during the summer — contact us for details.

Frequently asked questions — Corporate seminars & team building at Lac de Paladru

What is the maximum capacity for a seminar?

We can accommodate up to 201 people by combining our chalets and lodges. For day seminars, capacity may be higher depending on the configuration.

Is there an equipped meeting room?

We have flexible spaces for your meetings. For specific requirements (projector, Wi-Fi, whiteboard), please contact us so we can organise the ideal setup.

What team-building activities do you offer?

Water activities (kayaking, sailing, pedal boating), sports challenges, hiking, and wellness sessions (sauna, hot tub, massage). Group catering is available on site in season.

Is the site easily accessible from Grenoble and Lyon?

Montferrat is 40 minutes from both Grenoble and Lyon via the motorway — a true change of scenery while remaining perfectly accessible.

Do you offer catering packages for groups?

Yes, tailored packages (buffet, gala dinner, barbecue) can be arranged on request and on a bespoke quote based on your requirements.
